16 public tables from the U.S. Energy Information Administration supply every default figure on this site. Each was downloaded and checked on October 5, 2026; the raw files are archived with the site’s code so any number can be traced back.

We re-download the electricity file each month after EIA’s Electric Power Monthly release (late each month), the natural gas series after each Natural Gas Monthly, and heating-fuel prices weekly during the October–March season. RECS changes only when EIA publishes a new survey.
